How imagination and networks are driving the rise of New York City manufacturing
New York City is enjoying a manufacturing renaissance across the board, but there are sectors leading the way: 3D printing, metal and wood fabrications and food manufacturing. Modern American manufacturing is less about volume and materials than it used to be, and more about market-based needs. Through our work with New York City Economic Development Corporation on the Futureworks initiative, we took a look at NYC's ecosystem, spoke with company and government leaders and here's what we found.
