How BREAKFAST turned social media into an Internet of Things industry

The award-winning prototyping and product-development company BREAKFAST invented the hashtag printer that empowers event guests to print photos right from their phone. BREAKFAST'S Luster (formerly Instaprint) immediately became a staple at parties and BREAKFAST now franchises the IoT product in Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia, Dubai and Ireland.

They've also built a Foursquare blimp for Conan O'Brien, a bicycle that speaks and an 200,000 piece screen for Forever21. Despite the global success and multinational clientele, DUMBO-based BREAKFAST makes almost everything from their in-house shop which includes a CNC, pick and place machine, laser cutter and a mill.

We profiled BREAKFAST for our work with NYCEDC. Learn more at Futureworks
